Let's get started on creating cards for Birthdays that occur during the Winter months.
Let's create a fun-fold card that showcases as a hidden gift card. This delightful card has a hidden slot where you may add your birthday salutation or a gift card.
Today we are showcasing Spellbinder products using the Simon Hurley's - Playful Penguins die and the Happy Birthday Wishes dies.
Products used:
- Simple Stories - Simple Vintage Fresh Snow 4 x 6 Elements page (1) Snowflake side
You may also use the pattern paper - Chasing Snowflakes
- Bazzill - Baby Blue Foil
- Spellbinders - Playful Penguins by Simon Hurley
- Spellbinders - Happy Birthday Wishes Die set
- Nuvo Glue
- Elizabeth Crafts - Reversable Tweezers
- Spectrum Noir - Tri-Blend - Orange Blend for nose
- Bazzill - Holographic cardstock (for hat or use for the sweater)
- Neenah - 8 1/2 x 11 Solar White Cardstock (make 1, A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2).
Cutting Instructions:
Create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 , A2 size card. Seal all of the edges. Use liquid glue and not tape adhesive so that your insert can move easily.
Cut from the top fold - 1 inch across the top.
Then insert a White cardstock panel measuring 4 x 3.
Adhere glue to the top of the panel and insert it into the folded top piece.
This will slip easily in and out of the card.
Tip: write your salutation on the front or back of the hidden insert or use a glue dot to adhere a gift card for your birthday recipient.
